A Chapter Leader Update:

What tools Chapters are using now . . .

  • Chapters are connecting their members through virtual Zoom meet-ups through the National EAA Zoom account -- we provide you both Zoom training and access to the online video conference tool at no cost. Contact our Director of Membership today.
  • Members are virtually traveling to Zoom Chapter meetings across the U.S. by checking out the latest events -- be sure to calendar your own Chapter meetings.
  • Post on social media sparking EV ideas! Here is a great example of how kids in Sacramento won a utility sponsored video contest ($1,500). Click here. Share, Share, Share.
  • Zoom EV presenter ideas! "Nighttime at the Dealership". A New Jersey Sales Associate used his laptop for an Audi E-Tron walk around in the Audi showroom at night, responding to real time questions from Chapter Members on a Zoom video meeting.
  • Post your ideas to the Electric Auto Association Facebook page today

We need your brain trust . . .

We're all learning how to live in this new world that limits face-to-face meetings and in-person group events. Staying at home requires us to connect in innovative ways.

Let's tap into your Chapter Leader brain trust and collect ideas and experiences on new approaches to engage our members and the community in the April issue of Current EVents, in our Zoom meetings and on social media.

Please share your Chapter's ideas on engaging speakers, successful experiences and innovative approaches to educating our communities about the benefits of driving electric by April 13, 2020. Email them to Electric Auto Association Secretary Guy Hall so we can feature the great work you do.

CHAPTER LEADER ALERT:
Ensure your board members and event planners know that due to COVID-19 public health orders all Electric Auto Association in-person events of any size are cancelled until further notice. Accordingly, general liability insurance provided by the Electric Auto Association at no cost to Chapters is also on hold until in-person meetings can resume.

Become a Chapter Coach today

Requests from cities across the U.S. are pouring in to start new Chapters. We need your help!

Are you an experienced Chapter Leader with a wealth of successful experiences to share?  Just a couple of hours of your time per month will provide new leaders the support and guidance that will make all the difference to their success.

We provide a brief Chapter Coach training, and it is your involvement that will help us respond to the number of cities wanting to grow EV adoption.

Need a Chapter Reboot?
Just like our computers sometime need a reboot, so do our Chapters. It's a busy job and you're not alone. It happens to us all. Are others finding ways to recruit volunteers and we're not? How can I jump start our planning for the rest of 2020? How are other Chapters getting their ideas?

If you need ideas to re-energize your chapter, we want to hear from you. Our Chapter Development and Support Team talks to many Chapters a day -- and we have ideas to share.

Contact Electric Auto Association Secretary Guy Hall so we can schedule a time to put these ideas in your back pocket and share with your Chapter.
