Subject: National Drive Electric Week Success ...What's Next?
From: Raejean M Fellows

Greetings EAA members, subscribers and Electric Vehicle enthusiasts:

With your help, our growth can make a difference . . .

Electric Auto Association is celebrating the successful conclusion of National Drive Electric Week (NDEW), now in its ninth year. NDEW was a coast to coast celebration of electric vehicles (EVs). There were 324 events hosted in all 50 states and 8 countries. Volunteers contributed thousands of hours and were led by hundreds of event organizers. Our EV Educators worked tirelessly to educate people who were new to electric vehicles. Many of these community gatherings gave people the experience of driving electric in test drives and ride-alongs. With our EV educators ready to engage in conversation, we created a high impact experience for new and used car buyers.

Organizationally, EAA is growing rapidly. In the last few months, we added chapters in New Jersey, Southern California, Oregon, Oklahoma, U.S. Virgin Islands and Utah achieving a total of 81 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. With this rapid growth, coupled with obstacles in the EV marketplace, we find ourselves at a new place in the history of our over 50 year-old non-profit. To step up to the challenges ahead in educating the public, we would like to share with you some ambitious new programs that will create an even larger present and future value to local communities and to the nation.

Coming Up:
  • Electric Auto Association Annual Members' Meeting and Awards, San Diego, CA. January 25, 2020
  •  Special exhibit and reception, San Diego Auto Museum, Sunday, January 26, 2020
100 Years of Gas Meets the Future: ELECTRIC!
    • EV Owner/Educators at the EV Corral, Fully Charged LIVE!, Austin, Texas, February 1st and 2nd, 2020
    •  Launch of EV Educate Certify! The first on-line learning and certification course for EAA members
Our mission is to demonstrate, over and over again, the benefits of driving cleaner-fueled vehicles to drivers and to our society in order to improve public health and safeguard the planet that future generations will inherit.

EAA is funded almost entirely from membership dues, which start at just $35/year. Your financial support buys essential tools for our EV Educators to do this very important education and advocacy work. We need extra funds right now to run our growing organization and to help us deliver these exciting and impactful programs. Your financial support will make a real difference.
